♡ Add to wishlistBody Puzzle Boy by Beleduc is a wooden layered puzzle that explores human anatomy. The top layer is a 7 piece puzzle showing the boy wearing clothes. Next layer shows the boy with no clothes (7 parts) – can your child name body parts? The third layer is a clear sheet depicting oxygenated blood and deoxygenated blood travelling through the heart. Remove the blood supply to show the layer of muscles (7 parts). My favourite layer is next and shows the brain and an internal view of the neck and torso. Can you name everything depicted – trachea, oesophagus, larynx, lungs, pancreas, liver, kidney, stomach, heart, kidney, large intestine, small intestine, appendix, bladder, urethra, testicles? Finally, the skeleton is printed on the base of the puzzle and is not a puzzle.
A superb puzzle to ignite an interest in human anatomy. To gain the most from this puzzle, an adult needs to encourage questions and to help children gain knowledge.
As I opened this puzzle the smell of the wood was beautiful. It is extremely good value for money.
